Here are some of the major shopping areas in and around Bonita Springs (including Estero):

This shopping center, which includes offices and residences surrounded by a lake and a boardwalk, is like its own little city that is set on 500 acres of land. You will find tons of stores, restaurants, and even a movie theater. It is open-aired with shops set up on the sides of the streets. Even the design of the mall is something to see with its Mediterranean architecture. You will find a large variety of stores here, and the mall even offers a free shuttle service to get around. The mall hours are 10:00 a.m., through 9:00 p.m., on Monday through Saturday, and 12:00 p.m., through 6:00 p.m., on Sundays, although some store hours may be different from the mall hours.

If you are looking for upscale shops, then the Promenade at Bonita Bay is the spot to be with its trendy and exclusive boutiques. There are a few upscale and casual restaurants as well. In total, there are 30 shops and restaurants. Even if you do not buy anything, you likely will enjoy the cascading waterfalls, central courtyard, and Mediterranean design. The store hours vary depending on the month and the particular store.

If you are looking for a bargain, then you need to check out Miromar Outlets just north of Bonita Springs. There are more than 140 outlet stores of top brand name manufacturers offering big discounts off retail prices on clothing, shoes, watches, electronics, and more. It is another open-aired mall where you can walk around and get some sun. You can also grab a bite to eat at some of the restaurants that cater to the bargain hunters. Besides holidays, the stores are normally open 10:00 a.m., through 9:00 p.m., on Monday through Saturday, and 11:00 a.m., through 6:00 p.m., on Sundays.

This is considered a megamall where you will find over 120 stores and chain restaurants, including a movie theatre. The mall is open-aired and also features monthly events to entertain visitors and residents especially with famous musicians with weekend concert series. Borders also has some great book signings throughout the year. This is a fun air conditioned flea market open from Friday through Sunday starting at 8:00 a.m., until 4:00 p.m. They claim to have over one million items for sale each weekend where you can pick up antiques, crafts, collectibles, furniture, jewelry, sportswear, and more. There is live music that is played at Bahama Momma’s Tiki Bar from 12:00 p.m. through 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and bluegrass music played during the season at certain hours on Sundays (11 a.m. though 4 p.m.).
